Beer Review: Uinta Brewing Punk'n

Found this 6-pack at my local Whole Foods for $7.99. Not a bad price. I love this brewer, and hope to see a lot more Uinta stuff around. It's a very light 4% ABV beer which isn't a bad thing.

Appearance: (3.5)
- Dark Autumn colored amber. Rather clear and filtered beer. Little off-white head... maybe a finger that quickly bubbled down to a thin pillowy layer. Overall pretty simple and basic.

Smell: (4.0)
- Nice light pumpkin pie smell, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, spices and all the works. Bready sweet caramel malt... light vanilla. Smells very good for a light beer.

Taste: (4.0)
- Great light sweet grains, vanilla, nutmeg... roasty bready pumpkin. Very good and solid. Great grassy and earthy hop touch as well. Certainly some great spices at play with this one.

Mouth Feel: (3.5)
- Light bodied, and rather bubbly. Little drying and chewy and sets the palate alive in the finish with the spice.

Overall: (4.0)
- A very nice full flavored spicy pumpkin ale, and light enough on alcohol to drink more than a couple if needed. Nice seeing it in a 6-pack, and it holds up to many of the other lighter pumpkin brews out there. Worth the buy for sure.
