Happy New Year! (Beer)

I think 2010 for me was my biggest Craft Beer Year yet in my life. I must have tried at least 250-300 new beers that simply never existed the year before. So many new local breweries opened up in Portland, and there are a couple on there way up here in Vancouver, WA as well.

With so much going on in our country today, it's nice to see good people getting together and enjoying life and each other over a few beers. That is what it is all about. People are passionate about there beer, careers, politics, and families. We are all very busy trying to better our lives and the lives of those around us.

My advise for 2011 for all of you, and myself included is simply this:

- Remember this countries values. In these trying times, keep your family and close friends near and dear. This is going to be the best bonding source...  the glue that holds this country together over the next decade.

- Drink some damn good craftbeer..  and support your local small business and brewers. Besides..  their beer is better anyway!

- Be safe, don't drive intoxicated like a complete idiot. If you drive drunk, you are no friend of mine and should be taken out and shot in the back of the head in the woods...  after being forced to drink a Miller High Life.

Cheers, and Happy 2011!

Perry
